Horn Components

Water Buffalo horn has been and still is the material used by craftsman for making long lasting and beautiful kurikata, koiguchi and kojiri. All parts are exact copies of original horn components from old high-quality saya. Each is made by hand and hand finished. The results are of such a high quality, accuracy and consistency that they are used by those involved in sword restoration throughout the world.

001 Horn sheet 2.17 inches x 1.57 inches x 0.28 inches (55 x 40 x 7 mm). A block of water buffalo horn for those who wish to make their own horn components. 10.00

032 Kurikata. Available in two sizes: 1.26 inches x 0.43 inches (32 x 11 mm) and 1.26 inches x 0.49 inches (32 x 12.5 mm). Kurikata No. 32 is produced with a polished hole to allow easier passage of the sageo, and to eliminate the normal fraying & snagging of the sageo. 21.00
