Hada: Difficult to makeout due to the polish, but possibly itame.

Blade condition:

Old polish with very minor surface scratches. No flaws, ware, bends or hagirae.

Mounted in civilian 1930's koshirae with a leather saya cover. The fuchi-kashira are Goto school pieces (probably Mino Goto), whilst the menuki may be Meiji. The menuki and the fuchi-kashira have a marine theme. The tsuba appears to be brass; I can't see any casting marks on it.

A nice, neat, attractive sword. I was going to send it to shinsa, but I can't send every sword that I run across.
