Nugui

All items supplied by a Japanese polishing supply company. Nugui is used after the fingerstones to darken the steel.

SJK Nugui set. This boxed set contains four different types of nugui: Koshiki, Shinsei, Kongo (A+B) and Jokoh. 255.200

SJK Nugui Koshiki. Compounded specially for Koto (old) swords. Ready to use directly to the blade. 77.80

SJK Nugui Shinsei. Compounded specially for Shinto swords (literally,'new' swords). Ready to use directly on the blade. 77.80

SJK Nugui Kongo. Compounded specially for the harder blades of Shinshinto and Gendaito swords. Mix together the contents of bottle A and B, and use the mixture directly on the blade. 77.80

SJK Nugui Jikoh. Compounded especially for renovation or soft sword. Ready to use directly on the blade. 77.80

Nugui oil. For replenishment for SJK Nugui. 50.73

Kanahada. Burnt and powdered iron oxide. Basic material to make nugui. Mix with sword oil. 38.36

Jitekko. Powdered magnetite. Material for making nugui for sashikomi-togi (finish without hadori). 22.68

Shinsha. Cinnabar. Used to mix fith kanahada nugui. It makes the blade bluish. 83.82

Aoko (Green Powder) Chromium oxide. Used to mix with kanahada nugui. It makes the blade dark and glossy. 22.68

Akako (Red Powder) Iron oxide. Used to mix with kanahada nugui. It makes the blade bluish and dark. 22.68

Kinpun. Gold powder. Used to mix with kanahada nugui. It makes the blade dark, glossy and bluish. 73.45
