Mumei Wakizashi attributed to Noshu Seki Kanefune

Blade length: 17.24 inches (438.00 cm) long. Sori: 0.55 inches (14.00 mm). Moto-haba: 0.84 inches (21.40 mm). Moto-gasane: 0.23 inches (5.80 mm). Saki-haba: 0.73 inches (18.70 mm). Saki-gasane: 0.15 inches (3.70 mm). Period: Genki-Tensho (1573-1593). In good polish.

Mumei Wakizashi in koshirae

Blade length: 15.08 inches (383.00 mm) long. Sori: 0.35 inches (9.00 mm). Moto-haba: 0.84 inches (21.40 mm). Moto-gasane: 0.23 inches (5.80 mm). Saki-haba: 0.73 inches (18.70 mm). Saki-gasane: 0.15 inches (3.70 mm). Period: Shinto. In reasonable polish with very minor surface scratches. Showing signs of tiredness.

Naginata-naoshi wakizashi attributed to Nishu ju Kunihiro

Blade length: 15.51 inches (394.00 mm) long. Sori: 0.48 inches (12.25 mm). Moto-haba: 1.16 inches (29.50 mm). Moto-gasane: 0.28 inches (7.1 mm). Period: 1576 - early 1580s. In good polish.

Wakizashi by Munetada of the Hizen school in shirasaya, NTHK

Blade length: 20.87 inches (530.00 mm). Sori: 0.79 inches (20.00 mm). Moto-haba: 1.24 inches (31.40 mm). Saki-haba: 0.87 inches (22.00 mm). Moto-gasane: 0.30 inches (7.70 mm). Saki-gasane: 1.01 inches (5.60 mm). Edo period, Kyoho era (1716-1736). Fresh polish.

Mumei Naginata-naoshi Wakizashi

Blade length: 15.16 inches (385.00 mm). Sori: 0.43 inches (10.90 mm). Moto-haba: 1.14 inches (29.00 mm). Moto-gasane: 0.26 inches (6.70 mm). Probably Muromachi, circa 1550. In old polish with some scuffs.

Wakizashi signed Nio Kiyotsugu

Blade length: 21.14 inches (537 mm). Sori: 0.72 inches (18.20 mm). Moto-haba: 1.20 inches (30.40 mm). Moto-gasane: 0.27 inches (6.90 mm). Saki-haba: 0.76 inches (19.30 mm). Saki-gasane: 0.18 inches (4.6 mm). Period: Genroku-Gembun (1688-1736 AD). In old but fine polish, minor surface scratches.

Koto Ko-Wakizashi by 3rd generation Shimada Yoshisuke NBTHK Hozon

Blade length: 13.86 inches (352.00 mm). Sori: 0.26 inches (6.70 mm). Moto-haba: 1.15 inches (29.20 mm). Moto-gasane: 0.24 inches (6.00 mm). Period: Tenmon period (1532-1554). In recent polish.

Muromachi Wakizashi by Fujishima Den NBTHK

Blade length: 20.04 inches (509.00 mm). Sori: 0.71 inches (18.00 mm). Moto-haba: 1.11 inches (28.10 mm). Moto-gasane: 0.24 inches (6.13 mm). Saki-haba: 0.69 inches (17.62 mm). Saki-gasane: 0.19 inches (4.74 mm). Period: Muromachi, circa 1441. In recent polish. One small blister that will probably go with the next polish, but no other flaws and no fatal flaws.

Wakizashi by Reisen Sadamori NBTHK Hozon

Blade length: 18.50 inches (470.00 mm). Sori: 0.51 inches (12.87 mm). Moto-haba: 1.24 inches (31.50 mm). Moto-gasane: 0.24 inches (6.18 mm). Saki-haba: 0.95 inches (24.19 mm). Saki-gasane: 0.19 inches (4.81 mm) Period: Nanbokucho (approx 1350-1370 AD). In recent polish.

Wakizashi by Mizuta Kunishige NBTHK

Blade length: 17.56 inches (446.00 mm). Sori: 0.46 inches (11.56 mm). Moto-haba: 1.14 inches (28.86 mm). Moto-gasane: 0.25 inches (6.43 mm). Saki-haba: 0.83 inches (21.06 mm). Saki-gasane: 0.21 inches (5.40 mm). Period: Edo, early 17th century. In recent polish. Some slight grain openings, but otherwise in very good condition.

Wakizashi by Mutsu-Daijo Miyoshi Nagamichi NBTHK Hozon

Blade length: 21.50 inches (531.05 mm) long. Sori: 0.69 inches (16.98 mm). Moto-haba: 1.13 inches (27.79 mm). Saki-haba: 0.75 inches (18.53 mm). Moto-gasane: 0.22 inches (5.43 mm). Saki-gasane: 0.16 inches (3.86 mm). Shinto. Early Edo period (Kanbun era, circa 1661 AD). In fairly recent polish.

Mumei wakizashi attributed to Echizen Seki in original late 18th century high quality koshirae with illustrated gold maki-e saya. Both blade and koshirae awarded Hozon origami by NBTHK.

Blade length: 16.73 inches (425.00 mm). Sori: 0.45 inches (11.40 mm). Moto-haba: 0.83 inches (21.20 mm). Saki-haba: 0.82 inches (20.80 mm). Moto-gasane: 0.25 inches (6.30 mm). Saki-gasane: 0.21 inches (5.30 mm). Period: Edo, probably late 18th century. The blade is in very good condition and polish.

Wakizashi by Bungo Takeda school.

Blade length: 15.91 inches (404.00 cm) long. Sori: 0.25 inches (6.30 mm). Moto-haba: 1.08 inches (27.41 mm). Moto-gasane: 0.29 inches (7.39 mm). Saki-haba: 0.78 inches (19.87 mm). Saki-gasane: 0.21 inches (5.53 mm). Period: Edo. In need of a polish; scuffs, scratches, some surface erosion, one very small chip, but otherwise healthy and sound, with plenty of meat left.

Wakizashi by Bichu no Kami Fujiwara Kiyonobu NBTHK Tokubetsu Kicho.

Blade length: 21.42 inches (544.00 mm) long. Sori: 0.39 inches (10.00 mm). Moto-haba: 1.18 inches (29.9 mm). Moto-gasane: 0.28 inches (7.20 mm). Saki-haba: 0.82 inches (20.79 mm). Saki-gasane: 0.22 inches (5.71 mm). Period: Edo, post 1645. In good polish.

Mumei wakizashi attributed to Shinto Jumyo. Both blade and koshirae awarded Hozon origami by NBTHK.

Blade length: 12.99 inches (330.00 mm). Sori: 0.13 inches (3.30 mm mm). Moto-haba: 1.03 inches (26.10 mm). Moto-gasane: 0.26 inches (6.70 mm). Period: Shinto (1596-1781). Probably 17th century. In good polish.

Mumei wakizashi in koshirae

Blade length: 16.46 inches (418.00 cm). Sori: 0.44 inches (11.15 mm). Moto-haba: 1.11 inches (28.13 mm). Moto-gasane: 0.24 inches (6.01 mm). Saki-haba: 0.73 inches (18.43 mm). Saki-gasane: 0.22 inches (5.49 mm). Period: Edo. In old polish with minor scratches.

Blade length: 20.7 inches (520.00 mm). Sori: 0.55 inches (14.06 mm). Moto-haba: 1.34 inches (34.07 mm). Moto-gasane: 0.28 inches (7.08 mm). Saki-haba: 0.91 inches (23.20 mm). Saki-gasane: 0.22 inches (5.54 mm). Period: Early Edo, after 1663. Very good polish with very minor surface scratches.
